Laboratory of dramatic-vocal interpretation applied to the repertoire. For professional and trainee singers.
The training of a professional singer requires a lot of dedication and mastering many disciplines. La técnica vocal, musical o la fonética son imprescindibles para una correcta ejecución. Pero para potenciar la calidad artística de sus interpretaciones, the singer also needs to master specific aspects of dramatic art. This proposal expands the resources of the lyrical singer, al incorporar las herramientas fundamentales del arte dramático adaptadas específicamente a sus necesidades.
DRAMMA PER MÚSICA is focused on the study and deepening of the dramatic aspects of the musical score., through practical and immersive work on pieces from the chosen repertoire.
WE WILL DISCOVER a fresh approach to the textual content of the score.
WE WILL EXPLORE stage life, the organicity of the interpreter.
WE WILL LEARN to transmit from within, with our own sensibility, what we say when we sing.
WE WILL IMPROVE stage presence and communication with the public.
METHODOLOGY
This is a fundamentally practical seminar., in which through collective and individual exercises, we will develop the ability to incorporate into our work as singers, a variety of theater techniques that will enrich and support musical performance.

We will dedicate a segment of the Laboratory to psychophysical training. It is a series of exercises that are the result of a rigorous selection made by Maruchi León. A job that applies exercises of Homes y Chinese, as well as others of a more theatrical character of Michael Chekhov o Peter Brook. They aim to awaken the singer's body and make it permeable and expressive for dramatic interpretation..
TEXT LABORATORY
This will be a space in which we will explore the didactic resources that allow the lyrical interpreter make the best of the relationship dramatic text-music o music-poetic text. Unas veces, it will be necessary to pay more attention to the content. Otras, to dramatic structure or dramatic action. A veces habrá que indagar en la atmósfera que se desprende, tanto de la partitura musical, como de la textual.
We will learn to analyze the text of the score from a dramatic point of view and we will disassemble it for stage action, bringing it to the present moment to facilitate communication with the public. Starting from the dramatic material we will become aware of our sensitive potential to improve our interpretation.
